BIO

Amir Mosallaie is a writer-actor-editor-director who, much to the dismay of his Iranian immigrant parents, has been making movies since he was nine-years-old. Amir has written and directed commercials for companies like BIC, RushCard, and the Better Business Bureau, produced digital content for DreamWorks Animation and Film Independent, edited three feature films, including the upcoming The Wilderness, and cut the second season of HBO's The Case Against Adnan Syed, directed by the Oscar-nominated Amy Berg. He is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts’ MFA in Film program, where his first feature screenplay East of Westwood was named to the 2022 Purple List. Amir is currently in post-production on a short film based on East of Westwood and will soon make his feature acting debut in Juan Pablo Morina’s drama Domestic Animals.
