Amir has been making movies since he was nine years old. He's written and directed commercials for brands like BIC, RushCard, and the Better Business Bureau, shot and edited digital content for DreamWorks Animation and Film Independent, and cut the upcoming feature film The Wilderness, starring Wednesday's Hunter Doohan, as well as the anticipated second season of HBO's The Case Against Adnan Syed, directed by the Oscar-nominated documentarian Amy Berg. He's currently cutting the feature film Nickels, starring Rob Riggle and slated for a wide theatrical release in 2025. Amir is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts' MFA in Film program, where his first feature screenplay East of Westwood was named to the 2022 Purple List. He is currently in post-production on a short film based on East of Westwood and will soon make his feature acting debut in Juan Pablo Morina's drama Domestic Animals.
